Methodology & data sources
A transparent overview of how Crypto Strategy turns market inputs into an analytical state.
Composite scoring
Trend has a 40% weight; order flow 20%; open interest and funding 15%; positioning 15%; liquidation pressure 10%. Missing data reduces confidence instead of being silently replaced.
Potential liquidation map
The live map is Crypto Strategy's estimate from the provider shown on each card, using price, open interest, volume, trader positioning, and disclosed 5x/10x/20x/50x/100x leverage buckets. Because individual entry prices and leverage are not public, it shows relative intensity rather than an invented USD amount.
Realized liquidations
Realized totals aggregate observed forced-close events. Provider coverage can be incomplete and is disclosed with every dataset.
Current data sources
Demo Mode uses deterministic synthetic fixtures. Live and Hybrid modes use the configured public derivatives provider and show the exact source on each card. Binance is preferred where reachable, with OKX public swap data available as a live fallback. The potential map is Crypto Strategy's relative-intensity estimate; realized liquidations use available forced-order events.
Important limitations
Coverage differs by exchange and provider. Potential liquidation clusters are estimates, not a count of people who will be liquidated. Realized stream coverage may miss events during disconnects.
